Islamic Relief has an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join its Communications Department as the Web and Social Media Coordinator. Reporting to the Media & Advocacy Manager, the post holder will be responsible for day-to-day editorial and content decisions with a degree of initiative and independence. This includes coordinating IRUK’s web output, writing new web material, updating outdated content, editing contributions from others, uploading complementary images and footage – and to lead on promoting IRUK’s agenda and activities through social media platforms
The Successful Candidate must:
- have proven track record in web editing and/or social media
- have excellent journalistic skills, with a flair for engaging writing and consistent editing
- have in-depth understanding of web-based technologies
- have creativity and imagination
- be highly organised, with an ability to multitask and manage a busy workload
